Temperature Gradient Apparatus

Great for animal behavior and physiology projects, this device consists of a clear vertical tube that is filled with water. A heater at the top of the tube and ice in a cup attached to the bottom of the tube creates a temperature gradient in the water. Small aquatic organisms are put in the tube and observed to determine the temperature range they prefer. Developed by Dr. Robert McCauley, this appartus comes with instructions.
