Assess the health of various rivers, streams, and lakes with this collection of instruments and test kits. The extensive teachers manual includes in-depth background information about each test parameter, classroom activities, and detailed field testing procedures for all 12 parameters included in the kit. Test kits include acidity, alkalinity, carbon dioxide, dissolved oxygen, hardness, nitrate, and phosphate. Each kit contains enough materials for 100110 tests, except for phosphate, which contains enough for 50 tests. Included instruments are a pH/temperature meter, an EC/TDS/temperature meter, and a Secchi disk for turbidity measurements. Everything comes packed in a backpack that can be easily carried into the field.
